Established in Bindura, Zimbabwe in 1967 by Nicolas Pavlou Pilakoutas, Nick’s Motors started out as an automotive engineering business specialising in engine overhauls and maintenance.
As any good origin story goes, our visionary founder had a dream to grow and expand his business and develop his skill, so in 1978, Nick made the decision to move his company to the bustling metropolis of Harare. Nick believed in multiplying his leadership and created a hub for young enthusiastic men to learn the trade and develop their skills at his premises in Pioneer Street.
In 1987, Nick's Motors, also known simply as Nick's or NM, acquired its first 5 trucks and using his automotive engineering knowledge Nick designed, developed and fabricated his very own general goods flatbed trailers and in years to come he converted many of these into bulk petroleum steel tankers. And thus the long road to becoming an industry leading dedicated fuel and dangerous goods road tanker transporter began.
In 2006, as a true testament to Nick’s endless ambition and strive for continuous improvement and strict standards, we became the first Zimbabwean domiciled Logistics Operator to become an accredited transporter with Sasol in 2006 with an impressive score of 97%.
Nick’s has continued to expand over the years and is now a dedicated fuel and dangerous goods tanker transporter.
